Marketing Manager - London

Salary: £60K/yr - £70K/yr + 10% bonus

We are looking for a b2b Marketing Manager or Marketing Lead with experience of taking a new product or new functionality or features from the product team to market. This is a remote role but we are looking for someone who can easily get into London for meetings. Ideally this person would live within 200km or so of London with easy access to train links.

This is an integrated marketing role covering product messaging, branding, marketing assets/content through to campaigns creating lead generation campaigns for sales. The role will support the wider leadership team to drive new business growth and you will work with several agencies/third parties to help you achieve success.

This is a new role, created because of recent investment and the need to get the word out and to drive continued growth.

Following a successful rebrand project, our client has successfully laid the foundations for the next phase of growth. Their ambitious, investment-backed business has targets to double the customer base and increase ARR to £7m over the next 3 years, with ambitions to grow internationally too. 

With brand awareness rising, share of voice increasing, and a new sales process driving the pipeline, their strategy is well-placed to succeed. 

They have built a strong senior leadership team passionate about both the future of our organisation and driving bold change in healthcare - and every appointment thereafter has been carefully made to bolster our company’s talent at every level. 

An effective, multi-disciplined marketing manager is their next critical hire. They have largely relied on a supplier network to date, with carefully selected partners driving their marketing activity forward so far. But they now seek to bring the creation and execution of our marketing strategy in-house. 

Working in close collaboration with their other departmental heads - particularly their experienced commercial lead - the successful candidate will report directly into the CEO and provide key input into our marketing strategy. 

The position would therefore suit a creative, commercially minded, strategic thinker, comfortable with senior management discussions, reporting, and the analysis/optimisation of marketing activity, to aid continuous improvement. 

Managing their marketing partners - including PR agency, website/PPC provider, videographers, events firms, and more - the successful candidate will have the support of external specialists, as required. But we are looking for someone who has a hands-on approach and their own skill sets, with the ability to progress a variety of marketing activities internally too. 

Longer term, the position would suit someone with the ambition to build and nurture their own team and take ownership of end-to-end marketing strategy to support the commercial ambitions of the business. 

Role Responsibilities 

  • Working directly with the CEO, managing the development and execution of the marketing strategy with a focus on pipeline generation for sales.
  • Researching and analysing healthcare market trends, demographics, and competitive landscape, to inform and design digital marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Developing a detailed understanding of their software propositions, being able to articulate the key features, benefits, value, and outcomes that the products provide.
  • Producing intelligent marketing campaigns from ideation through to execution and reporting, that demonstrate.
  • Managing the delivery of marketing reports and analysis to demonstrate marketing effectiveness, brand awareness and lead generation performance.
  • Engaging with key customer advocates and internal teams to produce engaging, evidence-backed case studies.
  • Managing and coordinating key projects with their marketing, media/PR and event partners.
  • Overseeing creative development of our new website, content, and advertising, in line with brand guidelines.
  • Producing simple graphic design requirements using brand assets to support the sales process.
  • Building strong peer relationships across the business, and with customer stakeholders.
  • Supporting the CEO and wider leadership team with important internal communications.

Your Profile 

  • Minimum 5 years marketing experience, preferably in a software or technology company –experience of healthcare is desirable.
  • Strategic thinker able to align marketing plans with business and sales goals.
  • Demonstrable track record of building marketing plans and campaigns aligned with sales strategy.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining brand identity.
  • Knowledge of best-in-class marketing practices, and the technologies required to support them.
  • Articulate and insightful content writing skills with excellent verbal communication.
  • Structured, self-sufficient, disciplined approach to building and executing marketing plans.
  • Experience of the marketing functionality of Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage
