Product Director
Salary: Up to 90-130k plus bonus
Location: Remote, with attendance in London offices every 2/3 weeks
Contract Type: Permanent
We are recruiting for our client, a SaaS Business in the b2b health-tech market. They are looking for a Product Director to join their team. This is a remote role but you will need to attend their office in London every 2-3 weeks.
This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced, ambitious, driven senior product professional to take the next step in their career.
They need an experienced product leader to play a key role in their product vision, product design, and innovation strategy. Working closely with all key functions across the business, the successful candidate will manage their internal product team, be a member of their senior leadership team participating in board meetings, reporting directly into the CEO. The person will be instrumental in both developing their product vision and strategy, and ensuring there is cohesion to how they develop, release and market, and commercialise their software. The role will have a strong impact on how they mature their product development approach and a provide a key link between their internal teams, and importantly, with customers. The position would therefore suit an astute, commercially minded, strategic thinker, with senior management experience and in-depth knowledge of the UK healthcare (NHS) market, who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the product vision and strategy, aligned with business goals and market needs.
- Working closely with the CTO, translate the product strategy into actionable plans, including roadmaps, feature prioritisation, release schedules and go-to-market plans.
- Lead and manage the product management team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and innovation, inspiring the team to develop unique solutions that deliver competitive advantage.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats, ensuring the product remains competitive and long-term relevant.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful product development and launch, with a focus on the end-to-end process: idea > design > develop > release > market > sell.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to identify new product opportunities and improve their existing product.
- Ensure regular and effective communication with key stakeholders, including the exec team and customers, to keep them informed about product strategy, progress, and performance.
- Develop and maintain strategic product partnerships and alliances that can enhance the product offering and create additional value for customers.
- Assess wider industry trends and innovations, with a focus on data and helping the company further progress its adoption of AI use cases to further enhance clinical outcomes.
- Forge strong relationships with key customer (CCIO/CIO) stakeholders and senior NHSE decision makers.
- Ensure that all products comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of the product and make data-driven decisions.
Person Specification
- Min. 8 years in a progressively responsible product management role with a demonstrable track record of product launches and lifecycle management, and leading high-performing teams.
- Several years’ experience working closely with cross-functional teams (development, operations, marketing, sales) to ensure cohesive and successful product development and launch.
- Demonstrable track record of building product strategy and roadmap plans aligned with business strategy, underpinned with best-in-class product management practices and technologies.
- Healthcare industry expertise and experience highly desirable, with deep knowledge of market dynamics, customer needs, and vendor landscape.
- Articulate and insightful writing skills with excellent verbal communication, and a structured disciplined approach to building and executing strategic product plans.
